I haven't had much time to read news articles, we don't watch TV, and I don't listen to the radio news with the kids in the car, so I'm not always on top of all the latest news.

Lately I've been very grateful for my ignorance.

My heart hurts just thinking about the oil spill and all it has/is/will affect.  From our waterways, to our food, to our children, to our dear Mother Earth.

I feel helpless.

I have wanted to do a post on this for a while, but I can't seem to focus my thoughts and find the right words.  So until I can get it together, I encourage you to hop on over to EarthMama and join the visualization.

I truly believe that this disaster has been a cry for attention...for change!  We need to listen and do what we can to heal our beautiful world and make it a safe place for our children's children.

  1. Earthmama did do a beautiful post that speaks to this...I've been visualizing that spill stopped daily, and praying that our dear Mother Earth can heal from this horrendous and tragic event.

  2. I feel really sick inside, thinking about the oil that is leaking into our oceans.

  3. It is sickening.. another thing we can all do - yes even one does make a difference - is to conserve - use less - make one less trip to the store, one less light turned on - unplug our computers, etc. The oil is being pumped for us...
    Warm wishes, Tonya

  4. beautiful post dear one. I couldn't have said it better. My heart is just broken. Let go of those plastic bags. We now turn our t.v. and computer off at the power source when not in use. Little bits but it all adds up.
