Last Love - N- Links

  • This post made me giggle.  How many did you get right?
  • Has anyone ever done this?  I really need to.  Would save me some money for sure!
  • Did you know that Homemade Bread Day is coming up?  Now you do...

I love our new circle time rug.

Can you guess what this is?

It's a vintage bed warmer.  Totally random.  My husband was walking to the pub with a friend and found it lying in the street.  He rushes home all excited and says "Look what I found for you?!".  Sweet guy.  I really love it.

I also really love how my first yarn dyeing turned out.  I've dyed with natural dyes before (with the kids) and enjoy the outcome, but I was going to a tie-dye party and figured I could dye some of the wool my mother sent me (lucky me...she's an avid spinner and sends me her creations!).  I didn't have my camera, so there's no pictures of the process, which was quite simple.
If I was going to sell this on ebay and make up some cool quirky name it would be:

Sherbert Dreams

Mom's Blueberry Pie

Sherbert dreams is on the needles right now, whipping something up for the woman who made her!  Can't show it here though because I'm kinda sure my mom reads my blog...kinda. :)

Who needs a ballwinder when you have a 6 year old?

**So, why is this my last Love -N-Links?  Because Pinterest exists.  It's like a perfect eternal Love -N-Links post!  I have a button on the right side of my blog, come follow my boards, so I can follow yours...I am not a super avid pinner, but I do enoy having all my links in one place with a visual to kick start my inspiration.

  1. That is a really beautiful circle time rug, perfect size for a homeschooling circle time and love the space for a candle in the center. Wondering where one might purchase such a cool rug...

  4. Hi Allison, I can't find an email for you, or a link, so I hope you check back here! :) I actually got that rug (and a purple version) at Urban Outfitters. They were on clearance (score!) for only about $15.

  5. A mandala rug! PERFECT! And the bed warmer is fabulous too. Then there's that yummy, yummy yarn. Just DELICIOUS!

Yay Pintrest. I think it's a brilliant idea, and may someday set up my own account as an inspiration board.

  6. That rug really is lovely. I wonder if they are selling them at the UU here in Canada. I don't think my F is quite ready for circle time yet but she could use a rug in her room. :)

  7. I had no idea you could make coconut butter like that! I guess I always figured you had to use fresh coconut. Love the bed warmer!!! Why in the world was that just sitting out on the road?
