I have tried many times before to put more intention into my daily life. I started trying to do this a few years ago (thank you yoga class!) and never really understood what I was doing.
I am not one of those people who have the quote books on the back of the toilet or out on the coffee table. I do not regularly go looking for them either. When they seem to come to me though...I listen.
A few weeks ago I started writing one down each week and trying to visit it at least once a day. It's been remarkably helpful in actually understanding the quote and finding ways to make it ring true in my own life.
This one came to me yesterday...
"Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right."
Wow...isn't that true. We psych ourselves out of doing something all the time only because we think we can't. This week I am going to re-visit things that I thought I couldn't do (but may still want to do!) as well as things I thought I could do (and did!).
Guess what I read to my children today? That's right...the age old classic The Little Engine That Could
In an effort to give my life a bit more intention, I intend (ha ha) to post a quote each Monday to help carry me through the week. I invite you to comment and share your thoughts/ideas on these quotes as they can often be interpreted differently.
